Girl Scouts from YCIS to Beiyaowan

On 19th April 2014, twenty-four YCIS girl scouts, led by their teacher Lauri, came to visit our Beiyaowan migrant children center. Some of these girls’ parents joined in this trip as well. They were warmly welcomed by the center migrant children. All children spent a very meaningful afternoon. They made bracelets, sang songs, gave gifts to each other and very quickly became acquainted. The Girl Scouts brought the Center children bookcases, aid-kits, reading books and drawing materials. They also prepared a set of stationery for each Center child. All money came from their charity sales of biscuits. The Center children also prepared a thank-you letter for the girl scouts.

With support from all parties, volunteers, center teacher and parents, the girl scouts had a very successful visit to the Beiyaowan center.
